I value your privacy.
The only information I collect is what you provide freely via the contact form and comments. To prevent spam, a comparison of your data to that of known spammers is conducted by a third party, CleanTalk. During this comparison, your data may be transmitted through the US, or other countries. All parties in this transaction are GDPR compliant and take your privacy very seriously. Your data may be stored on CleanTalk’s server temporarily to allow me to agree or disagree with their determination that a message was spam or not.
All data transmitted to or from my website is transferred using SSL, an encryption technology designed to protect your data in transit.
Comments
To allow for discussion, you have the opportunity to post comments on this website. The information collected includes your name, email address, website, ip address, and your comments. All comments are checked by CleanTalk as explained above. This site displays Globally Recognized Avatars (Gravatars). In order to make these Gravatars available, your email address is sent to Gravatar and then the appropriate image is returned. While your email address is not displayed on our site, Gravatar does identify which image to send based on an encrypted version of your email address.
Contact Form
My contact form requests your name, email address, subject line, and message that you wish to send me. Your IP address is also captured by the system. This information is checked for spam as noted above and then transmitted to me via email. During that transmission, the data will be sent through normal email channels.
Use of Cookies
I use cookies on this Site to ensure the integrity of the registration process and to personalize the Site. A cookie is a small text file that is placed on your hard disk by a Web page server. Cookies cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to your computer. Cookies are uniquely assigned to you, and can only be read by a Web server in the domain that issued the cookie to you. One of the primary purposes of cookies is to provide a convenience feature to save you time. For example, if you personalize a web page, or navigate within a site, a cookie helps the site to recall your specific information on subsequent visits. This simplifies the process of delivering relevant content, eases site navigation, and so on. When you return to the Web site, the information you previously provided can be retrieved, so you can easily use the site’s features that you customized.
Web beacons, also known as clear gif technology, or action tags, may be used to assist in delivering the cookie. This technology is a tool used to compile aggregated statistics about web site usage, such as how many visitors clicked on key elements (such as links or graphics) on a Web page, blog or a newsletter. I may share aggregated site statistics with partner companies who have provided customization software for use on my site. No private or personal information is transferred in this way.
You have the ability to accept or decline cookies.
Changes to this Statement
I may occasionally update this privacy statement. When I do, I will also revise the “last updated” date at the top of the privacy statement. I encourage you to periodically review this privacy statement to stay informed about how I am helping to protect the personal information I collect. Your continued use of the service constitutes your agreement to this privacy statement and any updates.
